Week 25 of 52
Wifi – Yes
Milk – Paul’s
Coffee Brand and Blend – Kicco, blend unknown.
Cappuccino Cost – $3.30
Headed to the city for this weeks coffee, Union Street. A little cafe by the name of Chocolate Bean, I order a cappuccino.
My Cappuccino (as below) arrives and presentation is simple, no foreplay, no teasing, just a blanket covering of chocolate sprinkles. I dig into the froth and I get creaminess and micro milk but no richness which I do get from some other local milks and little things like this do make a difference between good and excellent. After finishing the froth I’m looking at the colour of the coffee and it does seem a little pale, but how does it taste? I’m getting mountains of chocolate, and its tasting good. You know, i’m pleasantly surprised at the taste of the coffee, this blend is obviously chosen to keep the theme of chocolate running through the coffee as well, and despite the milk taste/presentation lacking a bit, the barista produced a nice cup of coffee.
For those that regularly read this blog will know I also always have a ristretto, staff didn’t know what it was and so in the end, I just left it and reviewed 1 coffee from them.

Yeah I saw within the first couple lines that you did not order your usual, thought, bad sign…
I’m impressed by your palate Bobby. If I had ordered a coffee at a place that didn’t know what a ristretto was, I would have pre-judged them and I’m pretty sure my tastebuds would have followed my mind.
