Week 14 of 52
Milk – Tweedvale
Beans - 5senses Dark Horse blend
Cappuccino and Ristretto Cost – $3.40ea
Headed to Croydon for a few coffee’s, I had a couple of recommendations so had to try this place. Ordered 2 drinks, ristretto and cappuccino both for myself. First look at the ristretto and it looked pretty good, crema was of ideal colour, and so down the hatch it goes and Mmmm, I would describe this as a meaty coffee – very enjoyable it has to be said.

My cappuccino froth was on the skimpy side – really needed more and it was rather light in the mouth, not dense and creamy which is what I was hoping for. So with the froth all gone, i’m looking at the colour of the coffee which is slightly darker than most cappuccino’s i’ve had on this 52 week journey. Coffee’s with a darker colour can be horrid, just like a punch in the head and thats it. Seeya later thanks for coming. Yuk. This one though was terrific, full, without being overwheling or strong and was really well rounded with the tweedvale milk.
Although the froth was lacking in quality for the cappuccino, the coffee taste was really good for both drinks. No doubt they are using top notch coffee beans which have personality and give a good result.

Its good to hear that they still make a great coffee. I used to love this place but its been through a few changes over the past few years. I must revisit!
