Week 3 of 52
Milk Used – Parmalat Full Cream Organic Unhomogenised
Beans Brand – Brizilia Coffee
Beans – Nicaragua San Juan, fair trade.
Latte was the order of the day and what came to my table was a cappuccino. No worries, they were busy and all, guess mistakes happen and I wasnt going to get my knickers in a knot over this, just wanting a good coffee without having to wait and wait.
Quite rich the froth – oh boy, a good amount though. Actually…. its very rich. Yep, its silky, creamy and dense but one wonders how this heavy rich taste will carry over into the coffee.
Like a basic car without any of the frills, and its the frills you are looking when tasting coffee and in this one, the coffee colour seemed pretty much on target yet the rich milk has killed any coffee subtleties that may of been. Milk based coffee’s already do some damage to hide what profiles the coffee will have, but this milk takes it to far. Perhaps coffee’s of this ilk should be given another name.
The coffee they make at Wild Thyme is more about being organic, green, fairtrade, etc and whilst that is their core focus, the milk is overkill on the coffee.

Agreed.
I had my first ever coffee here when I moved to Adelaide: will never forget the shock at the $20 price tag for a takeaway soy and a bacon/egg sandwich. Value for $$ not good at all…….
Kate that sure seems a hefty price.
